We are delighted to announce that plans for this year’s Autumn Festival are underway!
Although a smaller event than usual, the HoVEC Scarecrow Competition (this year’s theme being ‘Super Heroes’) and the Scarecrow Trail will be going ahead.
It seems a long old time since we had a Village ‘shin dig’ so we hope to see lots of Scarecrows around the Village and lots of walkers out and about searching them out!
This year, Horsmonden will celebrate its local harvest of fruits, beers and wines with a scaled down version of our Autumn Festival.
The celebrations will run from Saturday 26th September to Sunday 11th October, with the main events being the Scarecrow Competition and Scarecrow Trail. This allows us all to enjoy the event and our Village whilst adhering to Social Distancing and current CoVID regulations.
All residents, businesses, clubs and charities of Horsmonden are invited to enter the Scarecrow Competition, with this year’s theme being aptly set as ‘Super Heroes’.

Stay safe and well and Love Where you Live!
This year we really do need Volunteers to help, make Scarecrows, decorate communal areas of our Village and to help with the Scarecrow Trail. Please contact Kate Mills at Heath Store via Facebook (www.facebook.com/HeathStores) or via email to HoVEC at email@example.com if you are feeling creative and can help in any way!
